My mother, an interior designer, taught me early on that cerulean and blue are not the same color. In the 2nd and 3rd grades, I won school competitions for designing children's books. My 6th grade science fair project was on pigment. I started my training early.

But I rebelled. As you do. I went to liberal arts school, studied politics, economics, and sociology, and had a career in program management for a national nonprofit. In the midst of that, I started designing conference materials, and rediscovered my love of typography, color, and composition. I went back to school.

More than ten years later I'm still designing. And still loving it. I work with individuals and organizations, large and small, for profit and nonprofit. My approach is hands on and collaborative, finding the essence of what you do and why it matters.

The nonprofit gene hasn't been abandoned. It's been repurposed. Into a designer that collaborates. A strategy that gets what you do. And design that shows why it matters.
